It’s Okay to Dream Again After a Season of Healing
When you’ve been a dreamer all your life it’s hard when life hits you with a cold blank blackout.
No dreaming.
No goals.
No hope for the future.
And then you feel your worth dwindling because what you’ve done all your life has left you. Are you worthless now?
Absolutely not!
If you find yourself in this space, I encourage you to give yourself grace. Be comforting with yourself. You made it through some difficult situations, and you need time to recoup. Learn to sit. To simply be. To enjoy friends without producing. To enjoy family without deprioritizing yourself.
This is where understanding your season comes in handy because if you’re in a season of rest, you need to take it easy. If you’re in a season of execution it’s time to take action. But if you don’t have the creativity to dream then it’s time for you to be poured into. As hard as that may be, take care of your heart, mind, and soul for once.
But when you get that spark of creativity and that sudden rush again
Lean into it.
Embrace it.
Grow it.
And love on yourself for where you are now to be able to handle it.
Ask God what to do with it. It may or may not be for you to act on now. Maybe there is a season of preparation. But one thing is for sure: be thankful that He has trusted you with something new. That your hope has been restored. That your creativity has been reenergized. That your spirit has been revived to take on something new.
This is your now. This is your moment not to weigh yourself down again. It’s not to get you worried, create anxiety, or fill up your schedule with 1 million things to do now. But really love this dream and do it with the skills and the experience in the things that give you life now. Approach it in a new way and not like your old self
I am proud of you and if you’re not to the place of dreaming yet, take your time. It will come.
And if you are, you deserve it and you have everything you need right now to make that thing happen. You got this girl
"But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint."
Isaiah 40:31
